As you know, this week has been the first ever Youth Olympigs in Singapaw. Unfortunately both Willie and I were too old to compete, but it’s great to see the little guinea piglets getting into the competitive spirit – some of them may even be old enough to compete in the 2012 Olympigs when the time comes.

The atmosphere is great; we even considered asking some of the competitors if they wanted to star in our Guinea Pig Games Calendar. Maybe for the next Youth Olympigs?

Meerkat Skateboarding Comp!

Yo! It’s me, Mac from the Maverick Meerkats. I’ve been practising some new tricks. There’s a festival on this bank holiday weekend and they’ve got this skateboarding competition – all the best Meerkats are going. Right up my street…music and skateboarding all in the same place.

Me and my bro Alex are thinking of starting up a band. Maybe we might even make it as big as the Dogs of Rock? We could call ourselves Musical Meerkat…ok perhaps not. The only problem is…I can’t play any musical instruments and I’m tone death. Hey ho the people on the X Factor use vocal enhancement technology …perhaps I can get Dot to put together something to make me sound better?

You never know, if we make it big perhaps we could have our very own Meerkat Calendar?

Dogs of Rock Diary

Well it seemed only right that we write another blog, considering the Maverick Meerkats Calendar and the Guniea Pig Games Calendar are stealing the limelight.

Have you seen our new Dogs of Rock diary? It is pretty immense – top qual. stuff. There’s some great photos of me ‘n Rick – it seems a bit self-centered carrying around our own diary…but us celebs have to keep track of our gigs somewhere.

D o you like my sales spiel? I’ve been practising. Maybe next time i’ll sell our new cards to you?

Hi guys! Dot here. Jazz has asked me to tell you all about our new website. It’s a great new site especially for our Meerkat Calendar (well and for you to get to know the Maverick Meerkats!).

Cycling!

Hey, it’s Willie here. I’ve just finished doing some cycling, so I’m puffed out. This training malarkey is hard work. We’ve got this whole new training regime which is sure to have us ready for the 2012 Olympigs – you may have seen it in the new 2011 Guinea Pig Games Calendar.

Going cycling is a great way to get fit – not only do you get to use up all those calories that you gained from a bit of chocolate, but you get to see the landscape. Nillie often comes with me and then we have a good natter as we cycle along.

Tomorrow we’re going rowing!

Yo fans! We’ve saved the best till last. Who am I? I’m James or Jazz to my mob. I am the main meerkat, the alpha male and of course the one on the front of the Maverick Meerkat calendar. Yep that’s right I’m the one pulling off the bunny hop!

You’ve met Martini – She’s my alpha mate and we rule this Meerkat Mob together. The 2011 Meerkat Calendar was her idea – not bad eh?

And me? I’m the bike-loving one – I just love my BMXs. I do a bit of bike racing, bit of freestyle, bit of popping down to my local on my bike!

And now that whizz kind Dot, has set up our very own website – neat or what?

Hello! I’ve been waiting for ages to write the blog. You can’t actually see me on the 2011 Meerkat Calendar but I am pretty important. My name’s Dot and I’m the techie of our mob. I’m the one that took the photos for the Maverick Meerkats Calendar – it’s a great position to have in our mob, as I still get to do all the sports but don’t have to be in the pics. You see the pic of the twins skydiving? Well I was on the other side of that having the time of my life.

Our calendar has to be the best 2011 calendar out there!

2012 Olympigs!

Hey everyone! It’s Willie and Nillie – bet you’re thinking that you haven’t heard from us in awhile? Well we thought we better write ourselves a blog – we didn’t want to be outdone by some Maverick Meerkat Mob!

We’re both in training now for the 2012 Olympigs, we’re going to be doing team events and individual. But because we are both members of Team GP we’ll be competing together! We’ve always been on separate teams (Ginger and Bandit) but now we’re joining forces to try to win Gold.

Our training is going well and we just can’t wait for all of you to see the Official 2011 Guinea Pig Games Calendar!

Dogs of Rock….Rock!

Hey, you guys on Maverick Arts Club you’ve probably heard about us. We’re the Dogs of Rock, I’m Marv and he’s Rick – we’ve been writing a blog on the Maverick Books Website, but since our feature in the Daily Telegraph we’ve been so busy. But now we’re goin’ to concentrate on promoting the band and some of our merchandise on this site – cool huh?

Our Band had played all over the country, we’ve won Battle of the Bands and had a book published (Story of the Band). Now you can buy a Dogs of Rock 2011 Calendar, Dogs of Rock Diary and Dogs of Rock Greetings cards. Plenty of stuff for all you fans.

Yo, what’s up! I’m Jammie and my twin bro is Dodger. We’re from the Maverick Meerkat Mob and we’re the ones skydiving and iceskating on the Meerkat Calendar.

Even though i’m a girl people still find it difficult to tell us apart…but I think I look nothing like my bro. Come on my eyelashes are a lot longer!

Dodger is a bit of a wuss but I still drag him into doing some crazzzzyyy stuff. He’s much happier on the ground (lying flat on it and not moving!) but he enjoys it really!

And me? I live for the thrill of extreme sports and I can think of no-one better to do it with than my bro. I love him really, even if he is a wuss.
